
Abe
Kami is a support group for children and youth with disabilities
spearheaded by the members of the Board of Directors of IMMFI during
the 26th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week. The
term "Abe Kami" is of Kapampangan origin. It means "We Belong."
Essentially and in the interest of those with disabilities, it is:

- an expression of the aspiration of the people with disabilities to be mainstreamed and included in our society
- a call for public awareness on the plight of the people with disabilities
- an opportunity for kind hearted people to share their talent, time and treasure with special children
- an attempt by IMMFI to organize the different responses of kind hearted and generous people to the needs of children with disabilities.

Objectives of Abe Kami:
a.
To identify, tap, generate and mobilize community resources for the
maximum growth and development of children with disabilities.
b. To offer an opportunity for the wider community to participate in promoting and protecting the welfare of these children.
c. To promote the local culture of bayanihan spirit, transparency and accountabiity among its members
d. To serve as an avenue for education, training, networking and advocacy on issues concerning children, health and disability.
